Cute, but ran big. (2010-09-04)
I wear a 10 and have wide-ish feet. These felt a full size larger. I actually checked the label in them a couple times because I couldn't believe they were really 10's. They're very cute: a little Victorian without getting costume-y. If they'd fit, I would have kept them.
Comfy and Stylish (2010-07-15)
These shoes are super cute and comfortable. Because Clarks is a British company, I was a little worried about the sizing (I'm an American size 11, which a lot of companies selling European sizes will tell you is a 41, but I can tell you from trying on many, many European shoes that it's actually at least a 42). I ordered the 11, and the shoes fit perfectly, if anything they're a touch big, but that means I'll actually be able to wear socks with them (a rarity for me with anything that isn't sneakers). The leather is insanely soft and highly-polished, and the quality is outstanding. Even the inner lining of the boot is a beautiful paisley-patterned corduroy. I am so happy with these, and will definitely keep an eye out on this brand's new styles in the future.
not as comfy as you'd think (2010-05-12)
the heel & arch of the boot have a very nice padded sole that feels great. the ball of the foot has no padding. when you wear high heels, all of your weight is poured forward onto the ball of the foot, so to leave cushioning out in that crucial area is unforgivable. also, reviews on other websites say they run a half size SMALL, and to order a half size up. this i did, and i'm glad, cause a 9M fits perfectly on my 8.5W feet. (i'm only a little bit into the wide size of shoe, so i can often get away with a medium. if you have very wide feet, don't try it.) overall they're very cute, but you can't get away with a night on the town in these.
so far so good (2010-03-17)
I only just received these boots and have given them one day of wear - but so far I love them! They are super cute both with pants over the tops and leggings under the tops. The laces actually loosen up (which is great for my high arches) and for high heels they are quite comfy and sturdy. I hope they hold up well because I am stoked about these boots! I usually wear a 7 1/2, but ordered these in a 7 after reading some online reviews and they are perfect...so they may run just a wee bit large.
